Sheena Harvey is a dedicated and spirited community woman who has pursued an extensive career with community based organisations. In August 2017, appointed to the position of CEO at Community Activities Lake Macquarie (CALM), the next step in her career working to improve the lives of children, families and young people across Lake Macquarie. Her passion for Community Development has been evident in her prior roles with local organisations and groups growing into busy, vibrant and viable organisations providing the wider community with advice, assistance, and a place to feel safe and connected.
Sheena has a strong commitment to equality and hopes that by working in the Community sector she can make a difference to the lives of people, who for whatever reason are not treated fair and equal.
Along with a busy Community Development career and a keen interest in empowering and advocating for our local community, she is a dedicated wife and mother of two girls. Sheena always finds the time to be an active Volunteer and has spent 20 years in Surf Life Saving, is an active parent of School P&C’s, Board member of Belmont Hospital Local Health Advisory Committee, panellist for the local Youth of the Year Awards and in 2017 was named Local Woman of the year for the Swansea Electorate.
